Blue Crabs sign pitcher

The Blue Crabs signed a new pitcher named Matt Hensley. He has spent time with the Angels mainly at the triple-A level, but also made an appearance in the bigs. He’s a big guy, throws hard and has a couple of nasty pitches.
Welcome Matt!

Game 83: Notes and Observations from the Stands

Game 83: Notes and Observations from the Stands

The Blue Crabs were beaten soundly by the Long Island Ducks tonight, 7-3.  In what amounted to a last ditch effort at SOME offense, the Crabs threw up 3 runs in the 8th.  But for the most part, the Blue Crabs were no threat to the superior pitching talents of the Long Island Ducks.  The [...]

Bring cash... or get some Sand bucks

Bring cash… or get some Sand bucks

At the game yesterday (7/9/2008) the ATM machine was down and the concessions could only take cash. It appears that on July 4th, during the rain delay, one of the light poles was struck by lightening, and ever since, Regency Furniture Stadium’s computers and credit card services have been on the fritz.  From one team [...]

Kyle Nichols Traded

Wondering where Kyle Nichols has been lately?
Apparently he was traded… I didn’t see this on the Crab’s website. Odd.
According to the Atlantic League News Blog:
Crabs Trade Nichols: The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs have traded Kyle Nichols to the Lancaster Barnstormers for the ever popular future considerations.
